Ralph Lauren displays his cars for the first time in Europe

This isn’t the first time we’ve talked about this fashion designer‘s passion for the automotive world. So much so that he is undoubtedly considered one of the largest and most renowned car collectors in the world, a collection that includes gems as important as a Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic from 1936, a unit valued at the not inconsiderable sum of 40 million dollars.

After having one of the units of what is currently considered the most expensive car in the world in his private garage, we can find vehicles as different from each other as they are sought-after, such as a Bugatti Type 59 Grand Prix from 1934, a Alfa Romeo Mille Miglia Roadster from 1938, the only one in the world, a Mercedes SSK “Count Trossi” Roadster from 1930, a Jaguar XKSS from 1957, a Bentley “Blower” from 1929, a McLaren F1, or perhaps the only Lamborghini Reventón Roadster in the entire United States.

Well then, with such an enormous car collection it’s no surprise that institutions like the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris are so interested in his collection that, after a genuine effort, especially financially, they have managed to get this legendary designer to agree to move part of his collection to organize an exhibition open to the public that promises to leave even the most incredulous speechless.

So much so that notable personalities as influential as French actor Jean Reno or Formula 1 legend Jackie Stewart were present at the opening of this special exhibition, an event where, among other things, a Bugatti from 1938, a Ferrari Testarossa from 1958, and more recent vehicles such as a Lamborghini Murciélago from 2010 were mobilized.

Without further ado, I’ll leave you with an attractive video where you can see part of Ralph Lauren’s private collection
