The Renault Trafic Spaceclass on the red carpet at Cannes
This commercial vehicle designed to be used as luxury passenger transport at the Cannes Film Festival to carry the invited stars

The Cannes Film Festival is celebrating its 70th edition this year, making it a very special one, and as every year, it brings together many of the great stars of the cinematic firmament. And so that they can sit comfortably on the journey from the hotel to the cinema where they premiere their latest film, the organisers have a new vehicle provided by Renault. It is the Renault Trafic Spaceclass, a commercial vehicle fitted out for transporting people.
On the outside, work has been done to create a luxury image, moving away from the goods-transport version while making clear that it is a version of the Trafic, keeping the elements that define its personality. The illuminated signature and the chrome grille, together with the painted bumpers and the Spaceclass version logos in several places on the bodywork, mark the external difference. In addition, it has 17-inch alloy wheels and a colour exclusive to the model, Comet Grey, with black details.

The important detail is on the inside, where there is room for up to nine seats, depending on the configuration. Rows 2 and 3 can take several configurations to accommodate passengers. They can face forward in the traditional way, but also face each other, so that they can work around a central fold-down table. Each seat has an LED reading light so that passengers can read without straining their eyes, which can be convenient for working or reading during trips to the airport or on longer journeys.
Confidentiality is ensured by the tinted glass windows, which allow occupants to see out while preventing anyone outside from seeing in. The air conditioning keeps the cabin temperature at the right level, and the black upholstery makes the seats very comfortable. As for the driver, there is a comfortable leather-wrapped steering wheel at their disposal, as well as several storage spaces. In this way, everything is within easy reach and can be accessed comfortably.
To control the information and entertainment system, there is a seven-inch screen with the MEDIANAV Evolution or R-Link Evolution navigation system, with Android Auto and a reversing camera, which is available depending on the trim level. This model was presented at the Cannes Film Festival and is designed for the taxi sector and as a shuttle, although families with space needs and passenger transport solutions may also be interested. Although it is in service in Cannes, we will have to wait until September for it to be available on the Spanish market.
