Frankfurt Motor Show 2011: Mazda

On the side of Mazda, the world premiere of the CX-5 SUV was the centre of attention, alongside the European premiere of the Mazda3, which featured styling updates to refresh it.

The CX-5 has turned out to be the first model of a new generation from the brand to adopt the SkyActiv technology. The engine line-up for Europe will include the SkyActiv 2.0 petrol and the 2.2 diesel, available in two different power levels.

The CX-5 is also the first vehicle from the brand to use the new design theme adopted by Mazda (Kodo: Soul of Motion), first seen on the Shinari and Minagi concepts.

Alongside the CX-5, the redesigned Mazda3 is also on show, with a new front end, more refined interiors, improved interior soundproofing and a new version of the 1.6-litre petrol engine, with automatic transmission.
