Sherp, the genuine off-roader that comes all the way from Russia

The market is increasingly full of off-road vehicles that also have their urban role, the famous SUVs. But genuine off-roaders still exist, offering some models that can handle all kinds of surfaces, whether flat or inclined. But with the arrival of the Sherp, all the others seem like toys. This vehicle comes from Russia and this one truly takes on anything. Even water.
Its large 1,600 mm tyres make up 70% of the model’s height and are also self-inflating. With these tyres it can face drops of up to 70 centimetres, which already gives a good idea of what it is capable of. But this is not all this truly genuine off-roader can do. It was designed by Aleksey Garagashyan in Saint Petersburg and, as incredible as it may seem, it has gone on sale in several versions.

The Sherp is an off-roader capable of tackling any terrain, however difficult it may be
Whether it is sand, wet or dry earth, snow or even ice, the Sherp takes on everything and is capable of delivering all the power needed to move across all those terrains, overcome obstacles and also navigate through water. Moreover, it is quite light for what we have in mind. It barely weighs 1,300 kilos, a figure below what we might expect from a vehicle of these characteristics.
In terms of power, the Sherp is driven by a Kubota 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that delivers only 44 CV, something that may seem insufficient but provides what is necessary to move across these terrains. These figures already suggest that it may not be a car for everyday use, but rather one to enjoy on specially designed circuits or on especially extreme terrain.
Its top speed is 45 km/h on land and only 6 km/h on water. And all of this starting from 65,000 euros for the pick-up model with a canvas roof, and 70,000 euros for the hard-top version.
