Škoda Kodiaq GT: Škoda's first SUV coupé, exclusively for China

The Skoda Kodiaq receives a coupé body variant that will be sold exclusively in the Chinese market.

The Škoda Kodiaq is set to receive a new variant aimed exclusively at the Chinese market, the Škoda Kodiaq GT. This is the first SUV coupé from the Czech brand, a model that will be officially unveiled at the upcoming Guangzhou Auto Show, running from 16 to 25 November 2018. With this new model, Škoda will offer a total of four SUVs in the Chinese market: KAMIQ, KAROQ, KODIAQ and KODIAQ GT.

Robust and dynamic design

The Skoda Kodiaq GT combines the robustness and versatility of an SUV with the sporty elegance and dynamism of a coupé, a formula already used by other models such as the BMW X4 or the Renault Arkana.

The new SUV coupé from Skoda measures 4.63 metres in length and features a front end that is wider than that of a standard Kodiaq. The front grille is framed in black with vertical chrome strips. LED headlights, a three-dimensional bumper and a front spoiler with large air intakes reinforce its muscular appearance. The roofline, gently sloping after the front doors, merges into the flat tailgate, giving it the dynamic profile that characterises SUV coupés.

Cutting-edge connectivity

The Skoda Kodiaq GT comes as standard with the most advanced connectivity systems, a feature very common in vehicles from the Czech manufacturer. These technologies include access to Wi-Fi, MirrorLink, Apple CarPlay and Baidu’s Carlife.

2.0 TSI petrol engines: up to 220 CV

The engine range of the Skoda Kodiaq GT consists of two 2.0 TSI petrol engines with different power outputs: one producing 186 CV paired with a front-wheel drive system, and another developing 220 CV linked to an all-wheel drive system. This latter powertrain comes as standard with a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
