Skoda Smoov’, the big brother of the Yeti

If the Yeti seems small to you (what an irony!), you can rest assured that Skoda will launch something bigger, but with a similar spirit of practical and spacious family SUV vehicle. According to the latest information, it will be called Smoov’.
The image above is merely a graphic reconstruction of the design that this “super Yeti” is believed to have. It will reach 4.50 metres in length and will arrive at European dealerships at some point in 2014.
With the Smoov’, the Czech brand will have an easier time facing rivals such as the Hyundai iX35, Kia Sportage and Nissan Qashqai +2. In fact, just like the latter, the Smoov’ will be capable of carrying up to 7 passengers.
Structurally, the Smoov’ will be a cousin of the next-generation Volkswagen Tiguan. However, the technological content will be somewhat lower and the engine range more limited so that more competitive prices can be offered. That said, it will not give up all-wheel drive, which will surely make it a vehicle suitable for dirt tracks or areas with compromised grip.
