Skoda Superb Greenline at the end of the year

Skoda will welcome another member of the “Greenline” family at the end of the year, with the launch of the Superb Greenline. The Superb, which was presented a few months ago, will complete the range with this latest launch, which will be followed by the next presentation of the estate version in 2009.
As for the Greenline version, it features a 1.9 TDI engine with 105 CV, which has undergone a series of adjustments, such as a modified engine management system, weight reduction (by omitting the spare wheel), longer gearing and low rolling resistance tyres. As a result of all these changes, Skoda claims an average consumption of 5.1 l/100 km and emissions of 136 g CO2 per km.
Given the size of the Superb, the consumption achieved by this engine is truly impressive. They also announce that it will feature a device that tells the driver the optimal moment to change gear, although we will have to wait until the end of the year for it to appear.
