The i20, as the replacement for the Getz will be called, is expected to join many others at the Paris Motor Show in October, although test units camouflaged on the roads are already being spotted, and one of them has recently been caught. This particular one is the three-door version, which will be launched about 6 months after the initial five-door model.

Its design will feature traits of its bigger brother, the i30, in details such as the front headlights or the grille, and the interior will also be revised to include higher-quality materials to match the level of the competition in its segment. Its size will also be increased, giving greater interior space and versatility.

Engine options are speculated to be two petrol units, 1.2 and 1.4, producing 80 and 110 CV respectively, plus a 1.5 common-rail turbodiesel with another 110 CV that will join the range.

The new i20 is expected to go on sale at the beginning of next year, and the remaining details will be known when it is presented in Paris.
