Strolling around London, and photographing a few cars...

London, that city where you have to look right when crossing the road, the buses are red and double-decker, people rush about because they have to be punctual, where tea is taken at five o’clock… no, none of that, we like to see London from a different perspective.

These last few days I have been around The City with camera in hand, and what I bring you today is a brief analysis of what can be seen on its streets, but above all, of what lets itself be photographed by them.

The restrictive access to the city centre means that almost everyone gets around mostly by public transport, so Cabs, taxis, buses or the Tube are part of the daily routine for many people. For the rest, they can opt for an eco-friendly car, which is why the Toyota Prius have become a real plague, followed by the Honda Civic Hybrid and the much-feared G-Wiz electrics.

For many others, their income allows them to travel in the back seat with the Financial Times in hand while the chauffeur drives their Mercedes S-Class, Audi A8, BMW 7 Series, Range Rover or Jaguar XJ (yes, in that order). It is from this point on that one can begin to guess the good economic shape of a large part of the London population, especially with what comes next.

Bentley, is the next one I would dare to mention for its numerical presence on the streets, which we could describe as scandalous. Seeing a Bentley pass by is not usual normally, in this city the sight is as commonplace as seeing an Seat Ibiza here, they end up becoming boring. Following in order by this same criterion are the Aston Martin and the Rolls-Royces, but I think this is already starting to become a little tedious and unnecessary to detail.

If anyone still has doubts about the luxurious and expensive mounts that parade around the city on the Thames, they can take a look at the photos that follow. Most were taken around Harrods, that place where every wealthy person worth their salt goes to spend their savings small change; among them I’ll single out the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano by Hamann. I was never a good friend of this type of tuning, but believe me, once you see that marvel in matt black in person, the perspective changes quite a bit. I won’t say more, I’ll leave you with the photos:
