Tesla launches a wireless charger for your iPhone
Tesla ventures into the tech world beyond the automotive sector with a wireless charger for iPhone phones, the “Tesla Wireless Charger”.
Tesla has just launched on the market a wireless charger for iPhone called “Tesla Wireless Charger”. It is surprising to see that a car technology company is also betting on gadgets and objects that have nothing to do with the automotive world.

This is therefore the latest product from the “lifestyle” branch of the company of billionaire Elon Musk, who had previously launched phone batteries that used the same core as those used in the car batteries Tesla.
Now, and under the same slogan as with the batteries, Tesla launches its wireless charger for $65 (€60).

The product description that can be read on its website is as follows:
“The Tesla Wireless Charger is a wireless charger with a 6000 mAh capacity, which is built on the basis we use in our own batteries. In addition to its wireless charging capability, you can also charge your phone with its integrated USB-C cable system. For devices that do not support USB type C, use the USB-A port to plug in any device that is compatible with these features.“

These are the specifications of the new Tesla wireless charger:
- Wireless charging: enable Qi on your device to place it on the charging base. Press the power button for 3 seconds to activate charging.
- Charge as you wish: besides the wireless charging option, the option of using USB type A and C cables is also available.
- 21 extra hours of additional charging
- Total battery capacity of 6000 mAh
- Input charging: 5V/2A
- Removable USB cable (USB-C to USB-A) and 1 USB-A port
- Wireless charging: 5W
- Cable charging: 5V/1.5A

We don’t know if Tesla’s bet will succeed due to its high price, especially considering that the most expensive wireless charger on Amazon costs €40. Perhaps they should include more premium features, beyond its eye-catching design, to justify their price.
