The selection of cars was based on the futuristic details they proposed, as well as innovations and level of influence on production models, as happened with the 1990 concept called GM Impact , which would later become the EV1. Although it ultimately had an unpleasant ending for many users, it has been the basis for the Chevrolet Volt.

Another concept that stands out is the so-called Sunraycer from 1987, which could reach a top speed of 121.145 km/h and won the first world championship for solar-powered cars, called the World Solar Challenge. Unfortunately, the project has been forgotten because its production cost exceeded two million dollars.

And to finish the list, we mention GM’s first concept, developed in 1938 and called the Buick Y-Job, which is considered the first prototype in the history of the four-wheeled world.

This is the list of the 10 best concepts presented by GM throughout its history.
