The all-new Renault Clio 2019 reveals its interior
The all-new Renault Clio is here. After more than 15 million units sold, the successful model from the French manufacturer today reveals its interior in every detail.
The Renault Clio made its debut in 1990, and since then it has become an immediate sales and consumer review success. So much so that, for the French public, it has repeatedly been called “the perfect vehicle”.

The new model, after a wait full of expectation, finally reaches our streets as soon as this new year 2019 begins. Today we will look at all the details concerning its interior, and believe us when we say it is full of novelties.
The all-new Renault Clio brings a more modern and sporty touch, while keeping as always the DNA that saw it triumph almost 30 years ago. Combining the virtues of the four previous generations of models is one of the main goals behind the launch of the new Clio by the French manufacturer.

- From the first generation of Clio, it keeps all the virtues that made it great. A versatile vehicle with a space perfectly designed for everyday life.
- From the second generation it highlights its habitability and comfort.
- From the third it takes the notable change in the leap in quality of various parts of its design.
- Finally, from the fourth generation of the Renault Clio, it adopts a sophisticated and modern design that continues to set trends today.
The exterior design matures further, while the interior design is completely renewed, with a new approach that sets it apart from previous generations.
In the words of Laurens Van Den Acker, Director of Industrial Design of the Renault Group:
“The fifth generation of Clio is very important to us because it is a sales success in its segment and the second best-selling vehicle in Europe, considering all categories. It is an icon, the latest creation of the Clio saga, and it combines the best of the previous generations. The exterior design of Clio 4 deeply appealed to our customers and still does. That is why we decided to keep its DNA and give it greater modernity and elegance. The interior undergoes a true revolution thanks to a remarkable improvement in perceived quality, greater sophistication and a strong technological presence. It is the best Clio.”
A novel and fully technological interior
The spotlight, however, is for now on the interior of the new generation of the Renault Clio, so below we will tell you all the news in this regard.

The quality of the new Clio’s interiors improves even further. High-end materials, the soft-touch covering on the dashboard, the door panels or the trim of the central console are some of the elements that have evolved towards a more premium finish.
The multimedia screen this new model will feature measures 9.3 inches, a major leap over the current 7-inch version. It will include Smart Cockpit technology that lets you enjoy the latest connectivity with your devices and your vehicle, as well as real-time assistance, among other things.
Its improved size gives the interior a more technological look and also improves its legibility.

Regarding the instrument cluster, the new Renault Clio offers a digital layout, something that happens for the first time within this range’s offering.
The TFT screen measures between 7 and 10 inches and allows the driving experience to be personalised quickly and intuitively.
The dashboard is another of the elements that has undergone changes that improve the overall experience of its interior. It is divided into three parts: a foam-padded upper section, a central band upholstered and customisable, and a lower area dedicated to functional elements, such as the glovebox. The ergonomics also stand out in its lower part, thanks to the layout of the “piano-style” buttons and the climate controls with direct access to make them easy for the driver to use.
The steering wheel is much more elegant than its predecessor’s. It has been reduced in size, thanks among other things to the integration of a more compact airbag. This allows better visibility of the instrument cluster for the driver.

Its comfort is equally remarkable, with thumb rests and a wider rim for a firmer grip. Of course, it also features new buttons and backlit multimedia controls, so that small actions can be carried out quickly and safely.

On the other hand, looking at the central console, this has been raised to offer superior ergonomics at the driving position. It houses a shortened gear lever that falls naturally under the hand.
In its lower part we can find integrated compartments that are fully functional and useful for keeping various personal items, etc.

The Seats of the new Renault Clio are typical of higher segments. They feature an elongated bench that aids support and also adopts an enveloping shape.
The knee room for rear passengers improves exponentially, combined with its thinner, teardrop-shaped headrests, which improve rear visibility and add to comfort in the cabin.
The door panels have been covered and decorated with large medallions that, like the armrests, adapt to the different interior ambiences available. This will give a distinctive, personalisable touch to your Clio experience.

And personalisation is one of the most important aspects of this new model. It will offer personalisation packs for the central console, dashboard, door panels, steering wheel, armrests, among others. More than 8 interior ambiences are offered to complete the experience, which certainly gives us an idea that our Clio will be to our taste and will allow it to stand out from the rest.

What seems clear is that if the new Renault Clio offers us so many new options for its interior, we cannot even imagine what it will bring to its exterior, which makes us very eager to know more about it. When that happens we will keep you informed in every detail; until then, we are left with the distinctive interior of the new Clio.
