The Fira de Barcelona welcomes Automobile Barcelona

If you are a motoring enthusiast, you will know that Barcelona has been hosting a motor show for almost 100 years, where we have seen, year after year, the main novelties arriving on the Spanish market. But everything moves forward, and this event, like all the motor shows held around the world, needs to be updated. And so from the Barcelona Motor Show has been born Automobile Barcelona, an event that keeps the spirit of the original but is complemented by new proposals.

The main event will be the Motorshow, whose main asset is continuity. This means that this event is where we will see those novelties that want to become part of our life in the city and on the roads. Many stands where brands present their proposals for improving mobility on our roads. But this is complemented by the Connected Hub.

Connected Hub

The new event will take place on 11 and 12 May and represents the heart of this new technology proposal related to the automotive world. It has the collaboration of Mobile World Capital, the Smart City Expo World Congress and the Industrial Internet Consortium. Together, they have prepared three spaces where the different technologies and the solutions already being applied to the automotive industry can be discovered and evaluated.

– Inspirational Arena. This congress will bring together the main promoters of these technologies to debate those solutions and build an ecosystem of collaboration to develop new projects and some of the solutions that make driving more comfortable and easier.

– Innovation Square. In this space you will find a wide selection of all the technologies currently being applied, from connectivity, geolocation, cybersecurity and other information and entertainment systems, as well as several technology start-ups that will present their proposals to manufacturers.

– Smart Street. If the previous area is where you can learn about the novelties, Smart Street is the place where you can find everything currently applied in cars. In this way, professionals, the media and drivers will be able to see what systems exist and how they work.

Motorshow

From 11 May until 21 of the same month, we will be able to see all the novelties that the brands want to show us and that will soon be available on our market. With these novelties, it will be possible to follow the trends, and attendees will have the chance to see all those models we like so much.

Together, these two events form a commitment that aims to showcase the trends and technology of the automotive industry, united to boost both the development of applied systems and new models. We will have to wait until May to see what this interesting event has in store for us.
