Honda has just shown us the interior of the Urban EV Concept, a model that will reach production with advanced technology

The compact segment is beginning to receive important innovations, both mechanical and technological, and is now capable of offering components more typical of larger vehicles. This is demonstrated by Honda with the Urban EV Concept, a 100% electric vehicle that is in its final prototype phase and is about to move onto the production lines. However, the Japanese brand wanted to give us a first look at its cabin, which features a series of components very close to a contemporary vehicle but enhanced with the latest technology.

With this premise, we can see how Honda is about to finish developing the Urban EV so it can move into production. Without a doubt, the Japanese brand is ready to revolutionize the compact segment not only by using electric drive, but also by adopting a technology that is here to stay.

Three screens for the Urban EV Concept

Without a doubt, we can see how the interior of the Honda Urban EV exudes novelty, but there are several components that give the whole a more traditional touch. First, we find a completely spherical steering wheel flanked by two side button panels. Next to it, we can see the climate control, cruise control and other more generic components that allow us to perceive a more realistic feel, close to the real-life reality of this prototype.

However, the true stars of this cabin are the three large screens that dominate the dashboard. First, there is the one positioned directly behind the steering wheel, aiming to provide not only information about the battery status, but also about the speed at which we are traveling.

The second screen features a simple and intuitive menu, where we can access the navigation system or control our smartphone once connected. Finally, we should highlight the third screen, which continues to provide information about the battery, the power flow and allows us to manage various connections to add more functions to the Honda Urban EV Concept.

All set for Geneva

With this latest version of the Urban EV prototype, Honda is already ready to be presented for the first time. On March 5th, the Japanese brand will take advantage of the Geneva Motor Show to unveil this preview of its first 100% electric compact, a vehicle that will aim to compete not only with its Japanese compatriots but also with German brands.

This is how Honda fully enters the electric vehicle sector, a world that opens the door to a wide arsenal of technology that will be present in the production Urban EV. At the same time, this model arrives to revolutionize the segment, offering important innovations that are far removed from those found in many current models.
