The Hummer EV dresses up in military style with this kevlar coating

The Hummer EV has become a very special vehicle, one that aims to recapture the aura of spectacle the original combustion-engine model had. This electric variant offers some very special features, such as its 1,000 CV of power, its weight of 4,111 kg and an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3 seconds. A vehicle with a robust look which, with the preparation by South Florida Customs (SoFlo Customs), takes on a military image.

To turn this pick-up massive electric into something resembling a tank, the customization company has covered its bodywork with an external coating in three parts, made of epoxy mixed with kevlar. This coating does not guarantee that the Hummer will become a bulletproof vehicle, but it does ensure that it will have great resistance to the impact of pebbles, stones, branches and other projectiles that may strike when driving over unpaved terrain.

There are other updates to the vehicle, also aimed at improving the model’s behavior on off-road terrain. There is a suspension lift, which provides 10 centimeters of additional ground clearance. The 20-inch wheels use 38-inch tires, which also improve its performance over more demanding terrain.

Inside, a brown and black upholstery can be found, of nautical origin. This makes it very resistant to the elements once the removable roof of the Hummer EV is taken off. The Strikeforce, as this off-road vehicle has been named, may receive future updates, such as a bulletproof windshield, a new-design rear bed cover and a front protective bar, to give it a more military image.

This is a unique model, but only for now. SoFlo Customs say that they have already ordered two more units to carry out conversions based on the same design. The price of this variant has been set at 219,000 dollars, which includes the price of the vehicle. If any Hummer EV owner wants to have the conversion done, they only need to contact the company so it can assess the work, and in a short time they will be able to turn their vehicle into something similar to this one.
