The Mercedes-Benz AMG GLC 43 4Matic 2020 arrives with 390 CV and in SUV form. The star brand has just presented the new GLC 43 4Matic models. They will be available in standard and coupé versions, and are expected to reach the market at the end of this year.

As the Mercedes-Benz AMG GLC 43 4Matic 2020 models are based on the GLC presented earlier this year, they feature a number of new components that set them apart from the previous GLC 43. Taken together, these new models are really very different from the variants they replace.

Both the new GLC 43 4Matic and the GLC 43 AMG 4Matic Coupé are fitted with a twin-turbo 3.0-litre V6 engine that delivers 390 CV and 520 Nm of maximum torque. This power is sent to the road through a 9-speed automatic gearbox and the 4Matic all-wheel-drive system, which allows the duo to reach 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds. Both the standard and coupé models reach a top speed of 250 km/h.

The all-wheel-drive system has a front/rear torque split of 31% to 69%, and those looking to buy the latest AMG model will be pleased to know that they come with AMG Driver Control air suspension and Body Control systems.

The first of these systems adjusts the damping at each wheel according to the requirements at any given moment to improve safety and ride comfort. Drivers will be able to choose between Comfort, Sport and Sport+ modes.

Inside, the 2020 GLC 43 4Matic models come as standard with sports leather seats with red stitching. There are also aluminium elements throughout the cabin. Other highlights include a flat-bottomed steering wheel, galvanised shift paddles and several steering-wheel buttons. Customers also have the option of an AMG steering wheel. As with most new Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-AMG models, the company’s latest MBUX infotainment system is standard and can be operated via a touchscreen, touch-sensitive controls on the steering wheel, voice recognition or gesture control.

Mercedes-AMG has not yet set a date for when the GLC 43 will reach dealerships or how much it will cost.
