The new Corvette C7 will be “more European”
New details about the next generation of the Chevrolet Corvette, a vehicle that will finally be unveiled in mid-2013 to reach the market in the first quarter of 2014

After a perhaps overly long pause, new rumours about the long-awaited new Corvette C7 are finally emerging. It is a completely new generation which, according to the latest reports, will not only be more to European tastes but will also be practically an evolution of the current design of the Corvette C6.
For example, one of the rumours that has finally been put to rest was that the new Corvette arriving on the market in early 2014 would feature a split rear window, something we all took for granted because the Corvette Stingray Concept presented in 2009 had one.

Because of this, everyone assumed that in the next generation General Motors wanted to pay tribute to a vehicle as special as the 1963 Corvette. In the end, none of this will become reality since, among other things, the Corvette C7 will continue to use a platform very similar to that of the C6, with the same 6.2-litre engine and a seven-speed manual gearbox.
For now, we must take these more or less accurate rumours with a pinch of salt, especially until General Motors unveils the new generation in mid-2013 before production begins at the company’s plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
