The new Pagani Huayra is unveiled in a camouflaged image

pagani_hyumaraThe arrival of 2016 is set to bring important surprises from the major names in the automotive industry. One of them comes in the form of a teaser of the new Pagani Huayra, a car that promises to surprise and aims to go a step beyond what the previous generation of this supercar offered. It is an image you can see at the top of this article, showing the car in camouflage so that we don’t learn too much about it.

One of the rumours gaining the most traction about the model is that it will ultimately be called Huayra S, which suggests we can expect somewhat more power and slightly higher performance. In the published image you can see the carbon fibre rear wing and rear diffuser, two elements that will provide very effective aerodynamic downforce and deliver truly spectacular results.

Another element visible in the image is the custom seven-spoke wheels, which give a striking look and stand out against the already impressive body of the car. This same test car, in the same camouflage, has been seen on various roads while undergoing the traditional real-world testing. We can also see that it features revised skirts and a very bold splitter, which could mean it is intended more for track use than for the road.

This model has been talked about since the Geneva Motor Show 2015, where the company’s founder, Horacio Pagani, stated that only 20 units would be built. In addition, those who will be able to buy one of these limited and exclusive units will, at least in principle, be owners of an existing Huayra who want the latest version of the model. So, if you’re not one of them, you won’t be able to join the circle of people who can buy this car. We’ll have to wait a little while to see whether anyone wants to part with theirs…
