The Nissan GT-R50 won't arrive until late 2020... but we'll be able to see it in Geneva!
Nissan has confirmed that deliveries of the limited edition Nissan GT-R50 by Italdesign will begin in late 2020, although we will be able to see the first production unit beforehand, in Geneva, next March.
You’ll surely remember the spectacular Nissan GT-R50 Concept. It didn’t take Nissan long to confirm that this spectacular prototype would become a reality, and that it would be built as a limited series of 50 units, with an approximate price of 1 million euros.
But that was more than a year ago. What do we know now about one of the most highly anticipated sports cars of all time?

Well, Nissan has just confirmed that its GT-R50 will begin to be delivered to its lucky owners… in late 2020. That is, they will still have to wait another full year.
In the meantime, until the first production unit can be seen next year at the Geneva Motor Show, which takes place in March, the GT-R50 prototype will continue to cause a sensation in Japan, exhibition after exhibition. The next one, for instance, is the NISMO Festival 2019, taking place this coming Sunday, 8 December.
Only 50 units… and there are still some available!
At Nissan they say demand has been very high, and that customers who placed their reservation are about to enter the customisation process for their future cars. However, some units are still available. Interested? There are two ways to reserve one: through the website www.GT-R50.nissan, or by email to Italdesign at the following address: [email protected].

In addition to building each model customised to the customer’s taste, the GT-50R still has to pass the certification and homologation phases in the markets it is destined for. Let us recall that this Nissan model, developed in collaboration with Italdesign, is based on the GT-R NISMO, and has been created to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the GT-R on the one hand, and of the Italian coachbuilder on the other.
Its engine is a hand-built 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 made by NISMO specialists in Japan, with an output of 720 CV.
