The Polo is the most produced vehicle in Spain in 2016
During 2016, almost 297,000 units of the Polo were manufactured at the Navarra plant. These figures place it as the most produced and exported model in Spain.
Volkswagen Navarra manufactured a total of 296,800 units of the Polo during 2016, a figure very similar to last year’s. 91.5% of production was exported to fifty countries around the world, making it once again the car with the highest production and export volume in Spain.

Germany is the main destination for the Polos produced at the Navarra factory. Of the total models produced at the Landaben plant (Navarra), the German market received 19.5%, while 13.6% went to Italy and 13.3% to France. In addition, 9.2% of VW Polo production from Navarra was sent to Turkey, 5.5% to the United Kingdom, 3.4% to the Netherlands, 2.7% to Belgium, 2.5% to Sweden and 2.3% to Austria. The percentage reserved for the Spanish market is 8.5%. Three out of every four Polos manufactured in Navarra come with petrol engines, and 21% of production features the DSG automatic sequential gearbox.

From a commercial standpoint, 2016 was an exceptional year for the model. According to the consultancy JATO Dynamics, the Polo was the third best-selling model in the old continent, with 398,561 deliveries.
In the Spanish market, the Polo once again remained among the ten best-selling models. Last year, 25,424 units of the Polo were registered in Spain, growing by nearly 1.2% compared to 2015.
