The Suzuki Ignis is one of those underrated models on the market that are truly interesting, and few cars offer so much for so little. The Japanese brand continues to champion the concept of kei cars, those charming small Japanese cars with compact dimensions, ideal for city use.

If we want something different, economical, and that also comes in versions with all the advantages of the Etiqueta ECO, the Suzuki Ignis is an option well worth considering. What’s more, it is now on offer, which places it among the cheapest Etiqueta ECO cars on the market.

The Suzuki Ignis comes with a fairly limited range that is nonetheless sufficient to meet all kinds of needs. There are two trim levels available, GLE and GLX, and four mechanical options based on the 1.2 Dualjet engine producing 90 CV.

A comprehensive standard equipment list

The standard equipment on the most basic version, the GLE, includes the following: 16-inch alloy wheels, front electric windows, air conditioning, a multimedia system with a touchscreen, Bluetooth and a rear-view camera, heated front seats, an on-board computer, electric mirrors and brake assist.

If we opt for the most complete trim, the GLX, we get additional equipment: rear electric windows, keyless start button, automatic climate control, LED headlights, front fog lights and mirrors with integrated indicators.

In addition, the range of driver assistance systems is considerably expanded, so we get lane departure warning, drowsiness alert and hill start assist.

The most interesting of all are its Mild Hybrid variants, as they are available in both trim levels and are also compatible with all-wheel drive.

With this, we have an unprecedented combination on the market: a city car with crossover looks, all-wheel drive and an Etiqueta ECO from the DGT. Its best feature is its price, because although one would normally expect all of this not to be cheap, the offer on the Suzuki Ignis makes it a perfect alternative.

How much does the Suzuki Ignis cost on offer?

Suzuki has decided to go all out with the smallest model in its range, offering a discount of 1,550 euros on the configurator across all versions. With this, the price of the cheapest Suzuki Ignis starts at 13,070 euros.

However, the SHVS variant becomes much more interesting, because with this mild hybrid system we get a car with an Etiqueta ECO for just over 14,000 euros. Who can beat that?
