The seven-seat version of the Nissan e-NV200 has already started production

The evolution of 100% electric vehicles appears unstoppable, and the commitment to them is completely firm. Some companies, such as Nissan, are already prepared to offer significant solutions in this field. One of these solutions is the electric version of its NV200 van, which is beginning to join several commercial vehicle fleets. The e-NV200 has been chosen to take part in various sustainable driving programmes in cities such as Barcelona, and production of the seven-seat version has now started.
After a year producing the 100% electric version intended for goods transport, the Nissan plant in the Zona Franca of Barcelona has started production of the seven-seat Evalia and Combi versions. They are not models designed for private use, but rather for passenger transport. The company’s plan is for them to be used as urban taxis or as shuttle vehicles for trips to the airport or something similar.

The Evalia version of the 100% electric model from Nissan has a front row of two seats, three in the middle row and two more at the rear. This layout makes it especially useful for transporting people. The e-NV200’s boot capacity with all three rows of seats deployed is 443 litres, although measured up to the roof it is 870 litres. For those who need to carry cargo but also use all seven seats, there is the Combi version, which allows the rear seats to be folded.
And all of this while driving around the city without emitting a single gram of polluting gases, improving air quality in cities. Nissan is investing considerable money in building the infrastructure needed to equip its service station network with charging points for its vehicles. Today there is fierce competition between the various alternative fuels, among LPG, fuel cell vehicles, natural gas and electric vehicles, so it seems they will all coexist for some time until the market settles on one of them. It will be interesting to see which of them, within a few years, becomes the standard for sustainable driving.
