Video: "Made in Russia" builds its own tank from a Bentley
It is called the Bentley Ultratank, it was developed in Russia and is built on a Bentley Continental GT.
Cheap cars can seem seductive until you discover the nightmare they may be hiding. A Russian YouTube channel, AcademeG, has decided it would be a good idea to turn a Bentley Continental GT coupe into an improvised tank.
They built their own tank from a Bentley Continental GT and we fully support this decision.

Although it looks like a Bentley, from the wheel arches upwards, this beast has been entirely custom-developed underneath. It features a custom chassis and a solid rear axle used to drive the tracks.
The tank developed on a Bentley Continental GT
It is equipped with a rear-wheel-drive V8 engine that sends power through an automatic torque converter. The popular Russian YouTube channel AcademeG has put everything together, even getting the Bentley factory steering wheel to work on the invention.
The steering wheel does not turn the tracks. Instead, the differential is left open, and when the vehicle, the Bentley Ultratank, needs to turn, it applies the brakes to the inner track, which allows power to keep flowing to the outer track, turning the vehicle. It is incredibly cool to see it in action.
In the inaugural race of the Bentley, the tracks come off the wheels more than once, but that doesn’t stop everyone involved from having the best moment of their lives. At one point, they nearly managed to keep it airborne. The possibilities are endless. Can you imagine piloting it privately?

Bentley Ultratank
The guys at AcadameG have also tuned the powertrain of the Bentley Continental GT. One of the goals of this Russian beast is to make it capable of reaching 100 km/h, but for now it can only reach 80 km/h.
Furthermore, the builders don’t believe that doubling the speed of the Bentley Ultratank is a very complex task. For now, it still has a few defects, but they are minor. For example, the Bentley converted into a combat tank still has no doors, so dust and debris thrown off the tread inevitably enter the cabin.
The brake pedal also doesn’t work at the moment, but it will start working in the coming days. In the following video you can see how one of the most beastly and savage recreations ever seen is driven. Would you turn your Bentley Continental GT Coupe into a vehicle like this?
