GMC Sierra 1500, the update of a pick-up specialized in heavy-duty work
The American pick-up receives a new update that allows adding new technology to the truck and making it more efficient and with better performance

Americans enjoy their pick-ups and look for a truck built to handle heavy-duty work. For that reason, models of this type of vehicle are constantly evolving, and manufacturers are always ready to offer a new model so that enthusiasts can find what they need. The GMC Sierra 1500 was recently updated to offer a better service to its owners, and now a wide catalogue of new technology has been added across all its trim levels.
In this regard, the GMC Sierra 1500 includes a new ProGrade trailering system, which can manage images from up to 15 cameras, including those mounted on the trailer. One of the features the model currently includes is the “invisible trailer” effect, which allows the driver to see through the trailer being towed thanks to the two cameras that capture those rear images and overlay them onto the trailer on the multimedia screen.

A mobile app, Trailering APP, is also added, allowing the owner to share details about the load, in addition to receiving maintenance information and data on the kilometres driven with the trailer. To improve safety while driving, the pick-up features the Adaptive Cruise Control Camera system, which is standard on the SLT, AT4 and Denali versions.

This system automatically adjusts speed to the flow of traffic and can even bring the vehicle to a stop if necessary. As for the engine, the one fitted to the pick-up in the previous update remains, although the 5.3-litre V8 engine can be paired with a 10-speed automatic gearbox. This transmission is included on the AT4 and Denali versions, while it remains optional on the SLE and higher trims, with four-wheel drive.
The turbodiesel version has the same 3.0-litre engine and now features a carbon-fibre chassis, making it lighter and allowing for greater performance. The power of this diesel version is 277 CV, and its peak torque is 623 Nm. Those who need a rugged pick-up with large capacity will be able to enjoy a vehicle suited to this demanding work and the most challenging terrain.
