Despite the well-known financial problems of the North American manufacturer, the company is pressing ahead with one of its most interesting projects.

As a demonstration of the performance its electric sports car will offer, the car was put to the test in an impromptu race against one of the company’s icons, the Challenger.

The event took place at the Rose Bowl stadium in California last Friday and, although the Dodge EV won twice, it is not entirely convincing.

Because the electric motor with 268 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque is no match for the 6.1 L HEMI V8 heart of the Challenger, whose power reaches 425 horses.

So the preview of the electric sports car developed by Chrysler is well received; on the other hand, you will notice that the muscle car makes no effort whatsoever to pull ahead in the race.
