You can get a Kia Ceed 1.0 T-GDi 100 CV from 12,800 euros... and it's a great deal!

Two things make the Kia Ceed 1.0 T-GDi a good buy: the new 100 CV petrol engine, and a discount of 6,175 euros, which bring the final price down to 12,800 euros.

The Kia Ceed receives the magnificent 1.0 T-GDI petrol 3-cylinder engine with 100 CV of power, which takes the place in the range of the 140 CV naturally aspirated 1.4. It becomes the entry-level version of the range, below the 120 CV variants of this same engine and the 140 CV 1.4 T-GDi. Above it sits the 204 CV 1.6 Turbo of the GT versions.

Kia also offers diesel versions in the Ceed range, with the 1.6 CRDi in 115 and 136 CV variants. Here you can read the road test of the Kia Ceed range that we carried out at the time of this model’s international launch. And here, the road test of the Kia Ceed Tourer, the interesting estate version, which also receives this mechanical update.

Three cylinders and 100 CV: enough

Although it “loses” power compared with the previous naturally aspirated engine, the small 1-litre three-cylinder with 100 CV offers superior driving pleasure and a more favourable balance between performance and consumption, thanks to a much more linear delivery of power and torque. Its maximum torque is 172 Nm, available between 1,500 and 4,000 rpm.

This engine comes as standard paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The Kia Ceed 1.0 T-GDi 5-door has a claimed top speed of 183 km/h, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 11.8 seconds. The combined consumption, according to the WLTP standard, ranges from 5.5 to 5.9 litres, depending on the wheels and tyres used.

UVO Connect: new connectivity system

Another improvement to the Ceed range is the incorporation of the UVO Connect system, already fitted to the XCeed, eSoul and Niro. Customers can choose as an option a screen of up to 10.25 inches, and enjoy the Kia Live connectivity services, thanks to the eSIM card installed in the vehicle. Among other things, it offers up-to-date traffic information, weather forecasts, points of interest, parking spaces, etc.

As for the price, the 18,975 euros RRP starting price drops to 12,800 euros in the Concept trim version, thanks to the current discount which, adding the manufacturer’s promotion and the financing discount, reaches 6,175 euros. Among the available trims, the Drive and Tech versions are very interesting, with a slightly smaller discount (6,650 euros), bringing them down to 15,000 and 16,680 euros respectively.
