The Opel Combo Life has undergone a complete transformation in its latest generation. To begin with, it can no longer be considered a commercial vehicle aimed at transport professionals as its predecessor was. The new Combo Life is closer to the world of minivans thanks to its wide interior modularity, which makes it the ideal vehicle for family adventure trips. These are the 5 keys to the new Combo Life:

1. New design: more Opel than ever

The previous generation of the Opel Combo was built on the same platform as the Fiat Dobló, one of the vans of the FCA group, so its styling had little to do with Opel’s design lines at the time. However, the new Opel Combo Life clearly recovers the hallmarks of the German brand with a balanced, robust and modern design.

2. Ample room: perfect for adventurous family trips

The new Opel Combo Life enjoys far greater roominess than its predecessor. In its standard version it measures 4.4 metres in length, but it is also available in a version that is 35 centimetres longer (4.75 metres). This length becomes even more important when you consider that the front overhang is shorter than usual, allowing more space in the cabin.

It is therefore a very spacious vehicle with a capacity for between 5 and 7 passengers (depending on the version). The five-seat version offers a luggage volume of 597 litres and up to 2,126 litres with the seats folded down, while the seven-seat variant offers 850 litres of boot space and 2,693 litres of cargo space.

The new Opel Combo Life therefore offers plenty of space to carry people and luggage, but above all it does so with great modularity. All the seats are fully configurable, including the front passenger’s backrest, which allows carrying long items such as a surfboard.

Another great virtue of this Opel Combo Life is that its rear seats can accommodate up to three Isofix seats for the smallest children, something very unusual on the market.

The car has up to 28 storage compartments distributed throughout the cabin. The centre console, for example, can hold large objects such as two-litre bottles or a tablet.

3. The latest technology

The new Opel Combo Life features an 8-inch infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The car also has several USB ports distributed across different areas of the cabin (both front and rear seats) and offers an inductive charging platform for mobile phones.

4. 19 driver assistance systems

In terms of active safety, the new Opel Combo Life comes very well equipped as standard and features 19 driver assistants. These are the most notable:

5. Range of diesel and petrol engines (between 75 and 130 CV)

The Opel Combo Life offers a range of diesel and petrol engines with direct injection and turbocharging, with power output between 75 and 130 CV. All engines come with an AdBlue tank.

The car also features a new Intelligrip traction control with up to five driving modes (normal, snow, mud, sand, ESP off). This system adapts the torque distribution to the wheels according to the selected mode and operates in 4×4 traction when conditions are difficult.
