A supermarket chain will make fast chargers available to its customers
The supermarket chain wants to offer a better service to its customers, so it will have several fast chargers so they can charge their electric cars

The electric charging infrastructure is still far from having the presence needed for owning an electric car to be worthwhile, but little by little, progress is being made and there are more charging points across our territory. In fact, making a long trip around Spain is no longer a serious problem. There are several options for charging the electric car battery, although there is not always a fast charger available to do so.
Fortunately, several private companies are starting to install this type of charger, which allows a fast charge during a short stop along the way. From fast-food restaurant chains to supermarkets, they all offer this service. And now, a new supermarket chain joins them, which is going to offer fast charging points in its car parks.

The German chain Aldi has just signed an agreement with the charger installation company Atlante to bring this type of charger to 80 of the brand’s stores. In this way, they want to help with the electrification of the vehicle fleet and make charging easier for customers who own one of these electric vehicles.
The chargers will be more powerful than those currently available at some of the stores, which do not have a very high capacity. The power of these new chargers will be between 90 and 120 kW. In this way, an almost complete charge will be possible during a shopping trip to the supermarket.
The plans of both companies are for each charging station to have two or four fast charging points. The aim is to have enough chargers so that several users can charge at the same time and nobody has to wait to connect their car to one of the chargers.
Even so, this could be just the beginning of the collaboration between both companies, since if the use proves to be popular, more chargers of this type could be installed. This move is interesting because the chain has stores in many cities and towns across Spain, which will help improve the charging network map in our country.
