Alfa Romeo 4C Launch Edition, new photos

After first unveiling the Alfa Romeo 4C at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the Italian firm, owned by the Fiat Group, has shown new photographs of the Launch Edition variant, the first to reach the European market. The sports car will be available with a red or white bodywork finish, and only 1,000 units will be built at a price above €60,000.
The Alfa Romeo 4C Launch Edition shown in the following images comes with a carbon fibre aerodynamic package. This material has also been used for the mirror covers and the spoiler, together with the LED headlight housings. The rear diffuser is made of darkened aluminium and uses 18-inch wheels at the front and 19-inch wheels at the rear.

This special edition also boasts larger anti-roll bars, a sport exhaust system, an upgraded suspension, as well as leather/Alcantara upholstered seats, a plaque bearing the model number and painted brake calipers. The red-painted 4C Launch Edition also uses that colour on the steering wheel stitching, the handbrake and the seats.
Under the bonnet, in a mid-rear position, sits a small 1.8-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine. It is capable of sending 240 CV to the rear wheels through a dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Thanks to its low weight, the new Italian sports car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. It also features a limited-slip differential, which improves grip through corners.
