Aston Martin creates a 430 CV Cygnet V8 at the personal request of a customer

Aston Martin has created a 430 CV Cygnet with a V8 engine, turning the dreams of a single customer into reality. Without a doubt, a clear example of caring about your audience.

Aston Martin has created a 430 CV Cygnet V8 at the personal request of a single customer. But why a Cygnet? After all, it is not one of the most significant cars in the brand’s history. This further underlines the English manufacturer’s attention to its customers.

With this project, the Cygnet has had an opportunity to redeem itself with this new, custom and exclusive, very special version. It features a 4.3-litre V8 engine producing 430 CV, inspired by the former Vantage S.

It still seems hard to believe that the sole reason for its creation was the express request of a single customer, but that is the case. Of course, given the nature of the project, there is no limit on the cost, which gives us an idea that it has surely not been cheap. However, let us understand that if a brand of this stature is willing to build a model for you, you will have the only identical and official one in the whole world, which automatically turns your car into a unique collector’s piece…

The model has been considerably widened, has carbon fibre parts across its body and features 19-inch wheels. As we can see in the photo, it does not look like an ordinary Cygnet; rather, it looks like a small monster ready for the track.

The brakes have also been upgraded, with monobloc six-piston calipers and 380 mm discs on the front wheels, while the rear wheels have four-piston calipers and 330 mm brake discs.
As for the suspension, it has multi-link suspension at both the front and the rear.

The V8 engine produces 430 CV and 316 lb-ft of torque, all combined with rear-wheel drive and a 7-speed “Sportshift II” sequential gearbox. And yes, as you might expect, it is quite loud thanks to the dual exhaust system that has been fitted.

It weighs 1,375 kg, which is not especially surprising, but it still weighs less than the Vanquis S, so, believe it or not, it accelerates faster than it does, reaching 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 273 km/h.

Inside we find a pair of Recaro seats, a removable Alcántara steering wheel, and a carbon fibre dashboard. There are also some luxury touches such as certain leather parts, and it retains some of the most necessary connectivity options of today, such as the addition of 2 USB ports.

The Cygnet V8 will make its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend. Without a doubt, an excellent indulgence made real by the prestigious English brand, one we would love to try.
