Aston Martin will unveil a new DB11 with V8 engine in Shanghai
The new Aston Martin DB11 will debut at the Shanghai Motor Show. It uses a V8 engine that Mercedes AMG models typically use.
Aston Martin will present a new version of the DB11 at the 2017 Shanghai Auto Show. This British supercar is equipped with a powertrain that Mercedes AMG typically uses in its cars: a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 532 CV of power.
The new model will be officially presented on March 19 during Aston Martin’s conference at the Shanghai Motor Show. The Chinese debut of the new DB11 V8 makes perfect sense for the British brand, as it is Aston Martin’s second most important market and they want to make the most of it. The Lagonda brand, which is also owned by Aston Martin, is also focused on this same geographic market.

The new DB11 V8 will cost around $400,000. Everything points to Aston Martin being able to make a great profit from selling a model of this kind. From now on it will be a little more affordable to emulate our favourite secret agent, and no, it’s not Anacleto.
The current DB11 V12 will sit at the very top of the range with its 600 CV and 700 Nm of torque, and a price that reaches $470,000. The debut of the new member of the DB11 family does not mean the development of the range ends here. Aston Martin’s flagship will receive a Volante version with a soft-top folding roof for the DB11 V12 in spring this year. This model will feature a 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 engine. In the future, this convertible version may also have a V8 powerplant.

Additionally, a new SUV from the British brand may be on its way.
