Audi R8 Spider Spotted Without Camouflage

Audi has once again chosen the German Nürburgring circuit to test the performance of one of its new models, and as can be seen, the convertible version of the Audi R8 retains the imposing presence of the original.

The most important changes to the car relate to the fabric roof, as the sports car’s structure has been modified to suit the extra power, improve the suspension and steering, as well as the braking system.

New air intakes behind the seats and a pair of roll bar devices are also expected to be implemented, and the fuel cap has moved location because the rear pillars are missing.

Although the mechanicals are likely to remain unchanged, there is speculation about the introduction of the 5.2L V10 engine from the S6 and S8 performance saloons. Images after the jump.
