Auto Expo India: Suzuki presents the R3 Concept MPV and predicts its future in Asia

Suzuki is well known for being quite showy when it comes to presenting a concept. It already happened with the Suzuki Kizashi, which turned out to be a fairly ordinary saloon compared to the very futuristic preliminary sketches.
This time, the Japanese brand is showing a concept that is a bit more down-to-earth, intended to serve as a lab car for Suzuki’s future aspirations. Whether it goes into production will depend on public support at the Auto Expo show.
Suzuki defined the R3 Concept design as “sporty, modern and compact”. It places emphasis on interior space (with eye-catching suicide doors), while remaining a rather small car, which is the latest trend among vehicles presented in New Delhi (a trend that will spread to other shows?).
At the same time, Suzuki revealed some important points of its business plan for Asia. Among the most noteworthy, first, the company’s main focus will be the small car segment, without ceasing to explore other segments. The Suzuki Kizashi will arrive in India this year, while the company will explore the possibility of also marketing a hybrid.
I haven’t been able to go into much detail about the R3 Concept, as the technical data is scarce, but Suzuki has released a photo gallery which we offer below.
