Automobili Lamborghini's Christmas Gift for a Father and His Son
Automobili Lamborghini surprises a father and his son with a beautiful Christmas gift they will surely never forget.
Lamborghini wanted to surprise two very special people who are also true fans of the brand. They are a father and his son who, using 3D printing technology, have perfectly replicated the bodywork of a Lamborghini Aventador SV at full scale.

Sterling Backus and his son, Xander, aged 12, are the protagonists of this lovely story. For almost two years, they have built in their garage, located in Erie, Colorado, a full-scale replica of the incredible Lamborghini Aventador SV. All of this with the help of 3D printing technology, which is the present, but above all the future of many industries across different sectors.
The Lamborghini Aventador SV features a 6.0-litre V12 engine that produces no less than 750 CV of power. It is the car that managed to place third behind the lap records at the Nürburgring (the green hell) set by the Porsche 918 Spyder and the Porsche 911 GT3 RS.

The model is capable of reaching 100 km/h from a standstill in just 2.8 seconds. Its theoretical top speed is 350 kilometres per hour, which, in short, is “an absolute beast”.
The Lamborghini Super Veloce also features extremely aggressive design lines on its bodywork, which enhance its aggressiveness and sportiness.

Returning to the story at hand, the Italian manufacturer, wanting to give a lovely Christmas gift, hid a genuine black Lamborghini Aventador S in the garage…
You can imagine the impression on both father and son when they found a genuine Lamborghini in their garage. They surely thought for a moment that they were dreaming.

Lamborghini has lent them this incredible car for a few days, so they can spend these very special dates enjoying what, as they have shown over the last few years, is one of their passions.
In the words of Katai Bassi, Marketing and Communications Director of Automobili Lamborghini:
“Automobili Lamborghini is against counterfeits. However, a real story that demonstrates genuine passion deserves to be recognised, which is why we decided to tell Sterling and Xander’s project in our 2019 Christmas video.”
In this summary video you can see the family’s reaction, the boy’s delight on getting into the car and the passion with which the father and son live the moment together.

Without a doubt a great initiative by Lamborghini that manages to steal a smile from you with things like this. I wish I could find a Aventador SVJ in my garage one of these days :).
