Automobili Pininfarina launches a new brand of luxury electric supercars

Today we welcome to the motoring world the new car brand Automobili Pininfarina, a prestigious automotive design house that is venturing into building its own cars.

Pininfarina already had a great reputation in the automotive world long before diving into this new project. We are talking about one of the most famous names in the history of automotive design. Its work has produced spectacular creations such as many models of Ferrari, to name just one, or even more modest models such as the Peugeot 406 Coupé or the beautiful Alfa Romeo Brera. Now this prestigious design house is betting on entering the world of car manufacturing. They will focus on creating luxury electric cars, which, we have no doubt, will also have an enviable design following the tradition of this brand.

Automobili Pininfarina will therefore be driven primarily by creating cutting-edge electric cars, with a groundbreaking design and general characteristics of luxury and exclusivity. To carry all this out, it will count on the help of the Mahindra Racing Formula E team.

Michael Perschke is the CEO of this new project, while Dan Connell is the brand’s director, alongside other great professionals with extensive industry experience who will bring this new project to life in the most professional and efficient way possible.

The first car from Automobili Pininfarina

The first major project of the new brand is the PF0, which will be an electric supercar of which a first image has been revealed. Although it is only a sketch, the bold design features of the brand are already evident in it, notably its cabin and the fenders, and the whole car is designed in a very futuristic and cutting-edge style.

For now we do not know the technical details of this model; we can only tell you that it is a low-volume electric supercar. However, future customers of the brand will be able to see the car during the New York Formula E Grand Prix, which will take place shortly. This will preview the first model, which will eventually be presented at the Monterey Car Week in August.
