Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo: the electric SUV could arrive in 2021
The Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo will offer 600 CV of power and a range of more than 400 km, according to the WLTP cycle.
The Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo could go on sale in 2021, according to Stefan Weckbach, head of the electric division at Porsche, in an interview with Automobile Magazine. The German executive confirmed that the first electric SUV from Porsche will be mass-produced and that there are high hopes riding on this model:
“We are working on the E Cross with production in mind, but so far there has been no official confirmation to start,” Weckbach says.
However, some suppliers involved in the development of the Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo have been informed that the electric SUV will hit the market at the end of 2021.
Supercar performance: 600 CV

Porsche unveiled the Mission E Cross Turismo at the Geneva Motor Show last March, alongside the Mission E, which will eventually be named Taycan when it goes into production. The next electric SUV from Porsche will offer a 100% electric propulsion system featuring 600 CV of power. According to reports, the vehicle will be able to reach 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds and 200 km/h in 12 seconds.
Like the Taycan, the Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo will be able to withstand repeated mechanical stress (hard acceleration) without losing performance due to overheating.

“An electric Porsche must offer driving sensations comparable to those of a combustion Porsche,” Weckbach told Automobile. “The car must be able to sustain long journeys on the autobahn without overheating.”
400 km of range (WLTP) and from 85,000 euros
The Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo will also have a range of 400 km on the WLTP cycle. It will be available in several versions, with starting prices from around 85,000 euros, while top-of-the-range versions will cost around 130,000 euros.
