Barcelona Provincial Council adds 62 units of Suzuki to fight fires
Barcelona Provincial Council has incorporated several units of different models of Suzuki, assigned to the fire prevention unit.

Institutional bodies rely on brands that have delivered good results on previous occasions and tend to look not only at the tender price, but also at other factors, such as the performance these vehicles offer in carrying out their duties. The Barcelona Provincial Council has once again chosen Suzuki to add new vehicles to the fleet of its emergency services.
Specifically, 62 units of Suzuki have begun service in the fire prevention unit of the Barcelona Provincial Council. The relationship between Suzuki Ibérica and the Barcelona Provincial Council began in 2000 and continues to this day. The reliability of the Japanese brand’s vehicles and their versatility in moving across the terrain they must traverse is decisive for them to keep fulfilling this role.

These 62 Suzuki vehicles consist of 18 units of the S-Cross, 12 Vitara and 26 Jimmy Pro. All of them meet the requirements necessary to provide the services for which they are intended. In addition, they offer the comfort and convenience that occupants need to carry out the service.

The AllGrip all-wheel drive system and the Mild Hybrid drive system, with its 48-volt mild hybridisation, help improve vehicle performance and reduce consumption and polluting gas emissions in the Vitara and S-Cross models. In addition, the electric motor adds 10 kW to the power of the combustion engine, which is rated at 95 kW.
For the most difficult terrain, the fire prevention unit has been equipped with the Suzuki Jimny Pro, which allows more efficient access to these areas where emergency services must act. With these 62 new vehicles, the service’s response is expected to improve and be carried out more efficiently.
