A few days ago we showed you some cars from various Spanish police forces, such as the Galician Autonomous Police and the National Police. This time, it was the Barcelona City Guard who received brand-new units Seat Altea XL, as part of a new fleet.

The Spanish brand has handed over 56 units of the Altea XL model today, which join the local police fleet of the Catalan capital, made up of around 200 vehicles, all of them SEAT. The handover took place in Plaça de Catalunya, at an event led by the mayor of Barcelona, Jordi Hereu, and the director of SEAT Spain, Marçal Farreras.

Until now, the Barcelona City Guard has used Citroën and Renault units in recent years, alongside Seat Toledo models. The initiative from the Spanish brand is part of the SEAT fleet department’s strategy of supplying cars to the main institutions in the markets where it operates.
