Bentley celebrates its record at Pikes Peak with the Continental GT Limited Edition special edition
Bentley achieved a memorable record at the last edition of the Pikes Peak hill climb, something they commemorate with a limited edition of the Continental GT

As you may remember, last summer another edition of the legendary Pikes Peak International Hill Climb was held, where a wide range of vehicles and motorcycles, with combustion and electric engines, all took on the challenge of climbing this mountain and tackling its 156 corners as fast as possible. Bentley was present and won by a wide margin, setting a new world record for the production car category, using a Continental GT W12 driven by Rhys Millen, a three-time winner of the event.
The record achieved by Bentley and its Continental GT W12 is truly impressive, as they managed to beat the previous record for the production car category by 8.4 seconds. Achieving such a milestone is not within everyone’s reach, and at Bentley they are very proud of it, so to celebrate, the brand will launch a special and very limited edition of the Continental GT, with a more radical look and aesthetic, quite far from the blend of luxury and sportiness we are used to from their Gran Coupé.

Production is limited to just 15 units. The Bentley Continental GT Limited Edition receives changes focused on styling. Starting with the exterior, the Continental GT Limited Edition uses for its bodywork the Radium Green paint created by Mulliner, which evokes the model used at Pikes Peak. This paint contrasts with the carbon fibre kit and the inserts painted in gloss black, such as the 22-inch Mulliner wheels, which fit Pirelli P Zero Colour Edition tyres with lettering in the same colour as the bodywork, as well as the brake calipers. Optionally, a grille with a large number 100 on it can be fitted, recalling that the record was achieved in the brand’s centenary year.
Opening its doors to access the interior, a plaque with the legend Pikes Peak on the door frame announces which version we are in, in case it was not clear before, and we find a cabin dominated by Alcantara leather in contrast with stitching in Radium Green and Beluga leather. This design is combined with a centre console painted in Piano Black and carbon fibre inserts, which on the passenger side features a small decoration, depending on the unit, with sections of the hill climb route, Pikes Peak and the time achieved. Added to this is the B&O sound system with speaker covers finished in black anodised and Radium Green.

Mechanically, the Bentley Continental GT Limited Edition will have the same W12 version mechanics used in the Pikes Peak run, featuring a twin-turbo W12 engine delivering 626 CV and 900 Nm of torque, enough to accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 333 km/h.
