Bentley is planning to launch a road-legal Continental GT3
The adaptation would involve a less radical design, both outside and inside. It would still use the all-wheel drive of other versions.

The second-generation British coupé’s range currently tops out with the Speed. For now there are no details on whether there will be a replacement for the Supersports or what it will look like. However, it seems Bentley has another radical version in the works, one that could appear before the update of what was the fastest road model the brand has ever made. It will be a GT3 homologated for use on public roads.
This competition variant was the star of Bentley at the last Paris Motor Show. According to Autocar, internal sources at the Crewe firm have confirmed that they are working on this adaptation. This model will fill the gap left by the Supersports within a couple of years, at a price very similar to its predecessor’s, around the 250,000 euro mark. While the racing Continental GT3 has rear-wheel drive, the road-going version would keep the conventional all-wheel drive.
Bentley has not yet decided whether to use the 6.0 W12 or the new twin-turbo 4.0 V8 in this case. The latter has the advantage of being lighter, but the former could deliver up to 700 CV. The styling would not be as eye-catching as that of the racing GT3, although it would include new aerodynamic elements.
Its interior, while keeping the high quality the brand is known for, would have fewer components as it is a lightened version. That said, there would be no option to fit a roll cage, since according to the same sources it would be “too much” for Bentley’s customers. The plan is to produce about 300 units over one year, possibly between 2014 and 2015.
