BMW iX3 Concept: the first 100% electric SUV from BMW
The BMW iX3 Concept features a 270 hp propulsion system and batteries that give it a range of 400 km, according to the WLTP cycle.
BMW is preparing the arrival of a fully electric SUV, the BMW iX3. The German brand’s mid-size crossover was unveiled as an electric concept at the Beijing Motor Show. The BMW iX3 will debut the fifth generation of BMW eDrive technology.

The most advanced 100% electric propulsion system from BMW
The new BMW prototype features a truly innovative propulsion system that offers better performance, range, weight and configurability than its predecessor. The electric motor has been manufactured without rare earth minerals, which allows BMW to develop this powertrain without complications. This propulsion system delivers 270 CV of power (200 kW) in this model.

State-of-the-art batteries: 70 kWh and 400 km range
The high-voltage batteries of this BMW iX3 Concept have a capacity of 70 kWh, which gives the SUV a 100% electric range of 400 kilometres, according to the new WLTP cycle (much more realistic than the old NEDC).

Another feature of this battery is its high durability and fast charging. It is designed to be connected to charging stations of up to 150 kW. This means the battery can be fully recharged in just 30 minutes.
It incorporates technology from the BMW iNext

The future production version of this electric SUV will benefit from the technological base of the BMW iNext, specifically its propulsion system. It should be remembered that this model will be presented in 2021.
