BMW X1 xDrive 25e: range and prices of the new plug-in hybrid SUV

The BMW X1 xDrive 25e is the plug-in hybrid version of the brand’s smallest SUV, so here we bring you its full range of available equipment and, most importantly, its prices

A few months ago we told you that the range of plug-in hybrid SUVs from BMW was going to welcome a new member: the BMW X1 xDrive 25e. It therefore becomes the smallest of the family, since we already have the PHEV variants of the BMW X3 and the BMW X5 in dealerships.

The brand’s urban SUV will qualify for a 0 emissions label thanks to its plug-in hybrid powertrain. This consists of a 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 125 CV and transfers its power to the front wheels.

On the other hand, there is an electric motor that delivers 70 kW, that is, 95 CV. It is mounted on the rear axle and drives the rear wheels. In this way, the smallest plug-in hybrid SUV from the brand features all-wheel drive.

When both work together, the total output of the BMW X1 xDrive 25e is 220 CV and 385 Nm of torque, a figure that reaches the road through a six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.Bmw X1 Xdrive 25e. (17)

Up to 50 kilometres of electric range

To power the electric motor, there is a battery with 9.7 kWh of capacity located under the boot floor. With this layout, it does not reduce the space available in the cabin, although it does reduce boot capacity from the 505 litres offered by the conventional variants to 450 litres.

With this battery, the electric range of the BMW X1 xDrive 25e is 50 kilometres, a figure that earns it the DGT 0 emissions label. In addition, the brand claims that if it is connected to a domestic charging point, it can complete a battery charge in less than 4 hours.

This whole mechanical package gives it very considerable performance: it reaches 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and has a top speed of 193 km/h. Furthermore, it achieves consumption as low as 1.8 l/100 km when the electric and combustion motors work together.Bmw X1 Xdrive 25e. (2)
