BMW X6 Performance and Serie 6 limited edition for the USA

BMW has decided to launch a limited edition for the North American market of its crown jewels, the X6 and the Serie 6, two completely different vehicles with the same spirit, sportiness and luxury. Only 100 units of the first will be built, while the second will be even more exclusive, as only 55 will leave the factory. They will arrive in January 2013.

The BMW X6 Performance Edition, as it has been named, will have half of the vehicles equipped with the xDrive35i variant and the other half with the xDrive50i. Both engines are fitted with an engine performance upgrade, producing 315 CV from the L6 and 440 CV of power from the V8.

The Individual exterior package features metallic silver pearl-effect paint, 20-inch black alloy wheels and chrome exhaust tailpipes. Inside, there are sport seats upholstered in black leather with Sakhir Orange contrast stitching. Alcantara is also found on the dashboard and doors.

Serie 6 Silver Edition

In the Serie 6 Silver Edition, buyers can choose between two models: the 650i rear-wheel-drive coupé and another coupé with the same engine but with a 4×4 system, the 650i xDrive. Unlike the X6 Performance Edition, this coupé has no engine improvements. It stands out mainly for its special exterior paint “Silver Frozen” contrasted with black mirror caps and a rear diffuser.

The two-tone 20-inch wheels, an aerodynamic package, a steering wheel signed by MotorSport, chrome exhaust tailpipes, Alcantara upholstery, a sport exhaust system and black brake calipers are among the other new features.

In addition, the xDrive version comes equipped with a winter kit that includes a heated steering wheel and a storage bag for skis.
