BMW Z4 M40i First Edition: preview of the new BMW Z4 2019
Until the new BMW Z4 reaches the market in spring 2019, the German brand is presenting a preview at Pebble Beach: the Z4 M40i First Edition.
Following the early leak that gave us a first look at the new BMW Z4 2019, we now have the first details of the version with which BMW renews its iconic roadster. The unveiling under the Californian sun at Pebble Beach, the same stage where the BMW Concept Z4 appeared last year, features none other than the BMW Z4 M40i First Edition. A two-seat convertible that promises driving thrills with the sky as its roof.

The authentic essence of a roadster with the new BMW design
Low centre of gravity, pure lines that convey dynamism, a very centred driving position, wide tracks with a relatively compact wheelbase… The new BMW Z4 reinterprets the characteristics of the German roadster with the brand’s new design language. And it presents them in a sophisticated metallic orange colour.

Under the bonnet of this launch special edition, a 6-cylinder petrol engine with 340 CV. It allows the Z4 M40i to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a truly sporty figure: 4.6 seconds. There is also electronically controlled damping, the braking system with the M Sport seal, and a sporty rear differential with electronic control. Among the specific equipment of the Z4 M40i First Edition, besides the exclusive body colour and the electric roof with the anthracite fabric hood with silver effect, the highlights include the 19-inch alloy wheels from the BMW Individual catalogue, with a two-tone finish.

Also exclusive to this version are the black leather upholstery with contrasting stitching and the electrically adjustable seats with memory. Among the options: ambient lighting system, Matrix LED headlights, Harman Kardon surround-sound audio system and, for the first time in a BMW roadster, a Head-up display
instrument display.
