Brabus CL500, reinventing a classic

I have always thought, and perhaps I will never tire of saying it, that if there is a vehicle on the market today that perhaps needs no tuner to offer a much sportier spirit, something that, in the end, does not in fact apply to this vehicle, it is precisely the CL-Class of Mercedes-Benz

If this enormous coupé is characterised by anything, it is precisely the luxury and restraint of its lines, so if you still want a much sportier air, perhaps the best option is to turn to the AMG variants. Even so, there are always tuners such as Brabus that may offer that different or exclusive air you are looking for.

Specifically, today I want to talk to you about the Mercedes CL500 in its 4Matic variant, which has just been “touched up” by Brabus, a German tuner well known to everyone, which, at least aesthetically, has made only slight changes to the vehicle’s styling, something to be thankful for, as well as the fitting of new in-house alloy wheels in 20 inches, painted in the same black as the bodywork

Setting aside this section, perhaps the least interesting part of the project, we are faced with the enormous 4.7-litre V8 fitted to this version, a massive engine that has been improved to offer two distinct versions capable of delivering 490 and 520 horsepower respectively. In the case of the more powerful version, in addition to the improvements, the electronic speed limiter has been removed, so you will be able, if you so wish, to drive at speeds above 300 km/h
