Brabus unveils its latest proposal based on the Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster

Few tuners today are as devoted to a single brand as Brabus is to Mercedes, a passion that has given birth to one-off models as well as many other aberrations that should never have been created. Today I want to present the new Brabus SLS AMG Roadster so that you can be the one to judge it

Before even looking at all the aesthetic add-ons and interior modifications carried out by Brabus, we will talk about the mechanics of this open-top sports car: a huge engine that has received upgrades to its injection system, a titanium exhaust system that is 40% lighter, and improvements to the control unit… enough to deliver a maximum output of 600 horsepower

Beyond the strictly mechanical improvements, a new adjustable sports suspension signed by Bilstein appears, which lowers the ride height by 40 mm at the touch of a button on the centre console. It is also possible to adjust the stiffness of the suspension, or simply raise the front end by 50 mm to clear those undesirable speed bumps or to leave your garage without any fear.

Leaving that aside, we now turn to the bodywork, whose styling has been updated with a fully carbon-fibre aerodynamic kit that includes elements such as a front spoiler, air-intake covers, side skirts with an illuminated Brabus logo, side ventilation mouldings, a fuel-filler cap, a rear bumper and a diffuser.

To top it all off, nothing beats the gorgeous 21-inch alloy wheels on the front axle and 22-inch on the rear, fitted with high-performance tyres in 275/30 ZR20 and 295/25 ZR21 at the front and rear axles respectively.
