Bremach's T-Rex, now electric too

The T-Rex de Bremech is an all-terrain monster for those who are no longer satisfied with their everyday off-roader, for extreme excursions across rough country. Designed almost specifically as a commercial vehicle, this Italian company has unveiled an electric variant, making it the first vehicle of this kind to adopt battery propulsion.

In addition to the three diesel engine options -along with a V8 engine running on natural gas in the USA-, customers will now be able to choose the electric model, as well as another hybrid version. The electric version features a 200 kW motor, which keeps it on par with the other engines, but offers an enviable range of 160 to 240 kilometres, even with the vehicle loaded.

Of course, the T-Rex -a very fitting name for this beast- is extreme enough to offer some interesting features for those of us who enjoy off-road trips, as well as being a load carrier. With the enormous torque it can deliver, it can climb very steep slopes or clear insurmountable obstacles for other types of vehicles, such as rivers or streams. Something like a Unimog or a Humvee, Italian style, but at a price of around 100,000 euros.
