Cadillac CTS-V Coupe Le Monstre, 1,001 horsepower for SEMA

The D3 Group, an American tuner, has just unveiled one of the beasts that will finally see the light of day at the SEMA Show, a beast based on the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe that they have managed to fit with 1,001 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of peak torque

After a while in which it has practically been the official manufacturers who have dared to show more or less the cards they will play at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, information is starting to reach us about private tuners and their beasts, something we were already starting to miss

Specifically, today I want to tell you about a certain build based on the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe created by what they like to call themselves “The D3 Group”. Specifically, the sketches you see on screen, before we get into the subject, belong to a vehicle that will be shown on the stand that Toyo Tire will set up at this unique event

As for the name, it has been dubbed Le Monstre as a clear tribute to the 1950 Cadillac Coupes that competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. For this, what better way than to create a vehicle whose V8 engine block has been eliminated entirely in favor of a heavily modified 6.2-litre LSA V8 block. Enough to deliver a whopping 1,001 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of peak torque

As is logical, numerous parts have had to be reinforced, not only in the engine but also in the chassis. To sum up, the vehicle will now feature competition suspension, much more powerful brakes, and 20-inch alloy wheels, which, as it could not be otherwise, are fitted with Toyo Proxes T1R 275/30 ZR20 tyres on the front axle and 345/25 ZR20 on the rear axle

Finally, as for the exterior, you’d best look at the photos spread throughout the article.
