Changes to the practical driving test

For those of you who haven’t yet passed your driving test, changes appear to be on the way, since the Spanish Directorate-General for Traffic (DGT) is considering modifying the practical driving test so that Spain conforms to the European regulation.
Among the most important innovations of the new type of test, which is still being trialled, would be its duration, never less than 25 minutes, and the first 10 minutes without receiving instructions from the examiner.
That is to say, as soon as the test begins, the candidate would be told where to go, and it would be the student who drives autonomously as they see fit. At the moment, it is in the trial phase at the Traffic Headquarters in Madrid, Barcelona, Burgos, Segovia, Gran Canaria, Seville and Navarre. But it has to be implemented before 2013.
