The German tuner Irmscher has unveiled at the Leipzig Motor Show a Chevrolet Cruze with a few extra horsepower, reaching up to 186 CV, which puts it about 36 CV ahead of the most powerful engine sold in Spain, the 2.0 VCDi diesel with 150 CV.

Besides these engine upgrades, Irmscher has added some cosmetic touches, the most notable being 18-inch alloy wheels fitted with sporty 225-section tyres and a double oval-shaped, chrome-finished exhaust outlet, which gives it a more carefree look.

Thanks to new electronics, this German tuner has been able to extract from the 150 CV diesel engine a power output that increases up to 186 CV, along with a torque figure of 466 Nm delivered at 2,300 rpm. In practical terms, this means the Cruze’s 0 to 100 km/h sprint time drops to about 8 seconds. As for sales, it is known that it will be available at the brand’s dealerships in Germany, but we will have to wait to see whether it finally makes its way to Spain as well.
